At the end of Point Loma, the penninsula that encloses San Diego Harbor, is Cabrillo National Monument.
My parents used to love visiting this area and I remember them taking me there early in my life.
Within the "park" is a information center, a lighthouse, tide pools, coastal artillary bunkers, and the huge Rosecrans National Cemetery.
My cousin and his wife were interred here after a lifetime career in the Navy.
There are beautiful panoramic views of the coastline from La Jolla to Mexico...
